Understanding Manufacturer RMA Dead Pixel Policies

Most commercial monitors follow Class 2. If your display exceeds these defective pixel thresholds, you are entitled to a warranty replacement or return.

Launch Dead Pixel Test

Inspection Instructions:

  1. Wipe your display with a microfiber cloth to prevent confusing surface dust with pixel defects.
  2. Click into fullscreen mode (F key).
  3. Scan your eyes systematically across the grid: top-left to top-right, middle, and bottom.
  4. Look for any persistent dark dots on colored backgrounds (indicating dead subpixels) or persistent colored dots on dark backgrounds (indicating stuck subpixels).
  5. If a stuck pixel is found, launch the Stuck Pixel Doctor to attempt resuscitation.
